Milagros De Jesus Ayerbe

Milagros De Jesus Jurado Ayerbe passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. Known to her friends and family as Mila, she was born and raised in El Salvador. At the age of 29 she moved to Queens, New York to live with her sister Rosario and her family. Six years later she married Guido and moved to North Bergen, New Jersey where she worked as a teacher’s aide in Horace Mann Elementary School.

Mila enjoyed playing Bingo and she had great luck at it. She also relished spending time with her loved ones playing board & card games and enjoying a great meal. Mila was blessed to have the opportunity to do one of her favorite things: traveling around the world. Her last trip was a pilgrimage she dreamt of all of her life; she went to the Western Wall in the Old City of Jerusalem. Mila was a woman of very strong faith, always willing to pray for anyone who was ill or was in hardship.

Mila was predeceased by her mother Antonia, her father German, several siblings, and her husband Guido.

Mila is survived by her daughter Patricia, her grandchildren Rodrigo, Laura, and Diego, her siblings Antonia, Elba, Elsa, Rosario, Pablo, and Caridad, and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews. Mila will be greatly missed by friends and family.

A Virtual Prayer Service to remember and celebrate the life of Milagros will be held through Aftercare Cremation Service, Thursday, March 4th at 8:00 PM.
